The HICOOL 2026 Global Entrepreneur Summit, themed “From the Source of Innovation to the Frontiers of Industry,” recently opened in Beijing. As an outstanding representative of Beijing’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, AccuMedical was invited to participate in the exhibition, presenting its key original innovations in the field of neurointervention. The company showcased full-stack neurointerventional solutions covering hemorrhagic stroke, ischemic stroke, and cerebrovascular access, highlighting the innovation capabilities of China’s high-end medical device industry.

AccuMedical Booth at HICOOL 2026
Currently, China’s high-end medical device industry is entering a strategic period of accelerated development driven by favorable policies and increasing clinical demand. The 15th Five-Year Plan Outline identifies high-end medical devices as one of the key emerging industries and future growth sectors. The National Health Plan for the 15th Five-Year Period proposes comprehensive support for the development and application of innovative pharmaceuticals and medical devices, emphasizing stronger collaboration between medicine and engineering, as well as increased support for breakthroughs in core technologies, components, and complete systems of high-end medical devices. Driven by both policy support and market demand, China’s innovative pharmaceutical and medical device industry is undergoing a critical transition—from following global leaders to achieving parallel development, and in some areas, pursuing global leadership. At HICOOL 2026, AccuMedical’s showcased innovations attracted significant attention and recognition from visiting leaders. The company’s continuous breakthroughs in original core technologies and achievements in clinical translation were highly acknowledged, with encouragement to further strengthen research and development efforts in key technologies.
01 Innovation Breakthroughs Empower the Mission of Healthy China
Over the past decade, China’s medical device industry has faced challenges in many critical fields, with high-end products heavily dependent on imports and key technologies constrained by external suppliers. Since its establishment in 2017, AccuMedical has consistently focused on deep integration between clinical practice and engineering innovation, transforming unmet clinical needs into the starting point for research and development. Through original innovation, the company is committed to addressing clinical challenges and reducing dependence on imported technologies. To date, AccuMedical has received NMPA Class III medical device registrations for more than 10 innovative products, including the Lattice® Flow Diverter, Grism® Stent Retriever, Attractor® Aspiration Catheter, Cosine® Distal Access Catheter, and Sine® Microcatheter.

In the field of hemorrhagic stroke treatment, the Lattice® Flow Diverter integrates the world’s first mechanical balloon delivery system and MIROR surface modification technology, achieving comprehensive innovation across delivery, positioning, and deployment procedures. By transforming flow diverter implantation from an “experience-driven” procedure into a “technology-driven” approach, the product significantly improves procedural effectiveness and safety while reducing operational complexity. The second-generation Lattice NEXT® Flow Diverter further advances aneurysm treatment through its “zero-extension” distal guidewire design, helping move the procedure toward a more intuitive and simplified workflow. It further expands procedural accessibility beyond geographical limitations, enabling more patients in primary hospitals to benefit from advanced treatment options.

In the field of ischemic stroke treatment, the Grism® Stent Retriever features a globally unique fully radiopaque dual-capture claw design and a distal closed no-tip design. By enhancing clot capture efficiency, the device effectively addresses the challenge of clot escape during thrombectomy. More notably, its pre-market clinical study[1] expanded the therapeutic time window from the commonly applied 8-hour window to 24 hours, providing more patients with opportunities for timely treatment.
From simplifying procedures to extending treatment windows, from filling technological gaps to achieving innovation leadership, AccuMedical leverages original innovation to advance the mission of Healthy China—making advanced medical technologies accessible beyond top-tier hospitals and accelerating their adoption in primary healthcare settings to benefit more patients.
02 From Chinese Original Innovation to Global Solutions
Building on its achievements in reducing reliance on imported technologies and advancing domestic innovation, AccuMedical is accelerating its global expansion by bringing Chinese original innovations to international markets. In 2026, both the Lattice® Flow Diverter and Grism® Stent Retriever obtained European Union MDR certification and CE marking, demonstrating that AccuMedical’s core products have met the highest European standards in quality management systems, clinical safety, and effectiveness, and are now eligible for market access across mainstream European healthcare markets. Previously, the Lattice® Flow Diverter, Attractor® Aspiration Catheter, and Sine® Microcatheter had obtained regulatory approvals in Vietnam and Indonesia, while the Cosine® Distal Access Catheter received clearance from the U.S. FDA. AccuMedical continues to expand its global market presence.
In terms of academic influence, AccuMedical has also achieved a transition from “Chinese clinical data” to “international academic recognition.” Clinical research results involving core products such as the Lattice® Flow Diverter have been published in internationally recognized journals in the field of neurointervention, including Stroke, the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery (JNIS), and Frontiers in Neurology. Multiple clinical datasets have demonstrated performance exceeding that of comparable international products.
During HICOOL 2026, global representatives from the medical industry, academic experts, and partners visited the AccuMedical booth to engage in in-depth discussions on the clinical data, procedural experience, and international regulatory progress of the company’s full-stack product portfolio. Visitors highly recognized the technological capabilities and innovation achievements of China’s original neurointerventional devices.
From breaking away from imitation-based development and achieving domestic substitution, to delivering Chinese original solutions to global markets, AccuMedical is leveraging its continuously evolving full-stack product portfolio to advance the transformation of China’s high-end medical device industry—from the source of innovation to the forefront of global industry—under the guidance of the Healthy China strategy for the 15th Five-Year Period.
